Crayola Experience!

When we decided to go the the fair for the weekend, I knew we had to do the Crayola Experience too! We headed there (It's in the Mall Of America!) Sunday morning before we came back home and had the BEST time!! It is SOOO fun!

First up was making personal labels for their crayons!
You could choose between lots of different colors!

putting the labels on!

Next was this photo taking color sheet station! Can you spy Merritt's face on the sheet?!?!
They made lots of these!

Glow in the dark dry erase boards!

Whatever moves you did, the crayons on the wall copied you!

Molding dough time!! You get two tokens with your tickets and they can be used for the crayon labeling or this "play doh" machine! More tokens can be purchased for 50 cents. They loved it so much we got a pack of each color to take home!

coloring pictures that get projected on a big screen once you are finished!

McCoy's Blue Tiger!

Merritt's multi color monkey!

Melted crayon painting! There are little pots of all different crayons melted for you to paint with!

make your own puzzle station!

Next they made adventure backpacks! They painted the sheets with water colors, then sent them through an "oven" to dry, and finally cut out the pieces and glued them to make the bags!

Rockin' Paper station! They made little birds that danced to music! McCoy loved this!!

Molding crayons!

This was seriously soo amazing! If you are in Minneapolis it is a must do!!

Of course we had to make a quick stop at the Lego store!!
I didn't get any pics, but they had so many huge sculptures! So fun!

I was a little apprehensive going into this weekend, since The Farmer was busy for most of it and I was going to have to do alot on my own, but I'm happy to report the meltdowns were minimal and the memories were plenty!! So glad we went for it and can't wait for next year!!

Minneapolis Getaway!!

Before we had kids and even when Merritt was a baby, we went to the Minnesota State Fair every Labor Day Weekend. The Farmer has still gone every year, but we had taken a break. This year, I decided we would finally all go back!

I got a hotel with a fun pool, so we could be there most of the time while The Farmer was helping fit cattle at the fair. They absolutely loved it!

Breakfast after swimming all morning!

The parking is not great at the fair, so the boys and I hopped on a Shuttle Bus near our hotel and headed over to watch The Farmer show cattle! They loved riding the bus through the "big city!"

yall, there were so many people!!

Enjoying the show!!

They were so proud of their Daddy!!

Our friends ended up winning Premier Breeder and Exhibitor!
They have won this six out of the last seven years!

After the show we headed to the Miracle of Birth Center to see all the baby animals!

We had all had enough at this point and headed back to the hotel for more swimming!

First lost tooth!!

I was shopping yesterday and I get this text from The Farmer!!

I had a mini freak out then called to confirm it was Merritt and not McCoy!! He said they were playing and Merritt was biting McCoy's blanket (crazy boys!), McCoy pulled it and out came the tooth...it is still lost in the carpet!!! I have searched everywhere!! Hoping the Roomba will find it, if I ever find time to actually run the Roomba!!

I cried like a baby when I got home and saw him!! Wahhhhh!!! I mean first I miss it, then we can't even find it, and hello-he is not supposed to be old enough to lose teeth!!!

He is supposed to be this old!! With those brand new baby teeth peeking through his sweet smile!!

My condolence prize was both boys patting my back telling me it was going to be ok and that there was hardly any blood!!! ha! Merritt then promised he would always be my baby until he was 6 years old! Great, so I have a good four months left...cue more tears!!!!

McCoy's First Day of School!

And he's off yall!! He was beyond excited and had the best time! He had big kisses for me when I picked him up and has been very cuddly since, I think he missed his momma, just a little bit!! :)

They read "The Kissing Hand" book and made these little raccoon bags filled with Hershey kisses!
So cute!!
