Pinterest Projects!!

I got the craft bug today and got to work on my long list of projects! First, I painted this old coffee table and attached (well the Farmer is going to attach tomorrow) these Duplo Lego plates. Merritt is going to love it!! Probably should have put down some newspaper! Our garage floor is pretty much a rainbow :)

Next, I finally got around to doing something with the old printers drawer I got a few years ago...

I love how it turned out!! I just lightly spray painted it turquoise (so it would keep it's antique feel) and added the hooks (I ran out and will add more to the the little boxes when I get some more)...here is a link to what the rest of the bedroom looks like (when it's actually clean!!)
Soo many more projects to complete, so stay tuned!! :)

Royalty

Did you now I'm Royalty?!? Well, since the new prince was born on my very own birthday it pretty much means I am...duh! ;)  I had a fun day celebrating with my (and Merritt's) friends! I still can't believe I'm 25...again...tehehe!!

He had tons of fun with Claire in the pool and sandbox!

He also got to play with Rose, Jorgi, Charlie, and sweet baby Lee!

we missed our friends!

Claire needed to try on his hat! That didn't last long! :)

he was so excited to go on his playdate (sorry these pics uploaded out of order!!)

he kept saying swim swim!!

then I saw this and almost started crying as glimpses of his first day of preschool flooded my head...not cool!!!

so proud of his crabby backpack!!

Love,
The Southern Belle PRINCESS ;)

County Fair Fun!

The County Fair started on Saturday with static exhibits, so I was there helping my 4-H girls with their projects. I forgot to take pics of our club club's booth and projects, oopps! This evening we went back for the Donkey Races and to see how the pictures I entered in the open photography contest did! I have wanted to do this the last three years, but always forget, this year I remembered just in time and it paid off! Three Blue Ribbons!! Woohoo!!! Can't wait to enter the little jewel I took last week, of Merritt and the cow tongue, in next years contest!! hehehe!! We will be at the fair the rest of the week for various shows (The Farmer is in charge the Advanced Cattle Feeders Project this year) and cleaning up on Friday. Saturday, we are heading to South Dakota State University for the The Farmer's Livestock Judging Team Reunion and hopefully a stop by the Children's museum in Brookings, SD! Stay tuned :)

Blue Ribbon Baby!!

I wont get to read the judges comments until Thursday...it's killing me! ha!

our friend Scott, breaking his donkey!

Merritt loved it!

Go Donkeys!!

Merritt Wylie - 18 months!

Look who is 18 months!! Seriously wasn't I just bringing him home from the hospital!?! Where does the time go?!!? We just adore our silly, sweet, fearless, mischievous, super independent little cowboy!

We just got back from his 18 month apportionment and he weighs 27 lbs and his 32.5 inches.

He is still wearing 18 and 24 month clothes in about every brand! Still in size 4 diapers.

His favorite place to be is anywhere outside!

He eats just about everything but his favorites are still bananas, cheese, hotdogs, peaches/pears, and grapes! His new thing is asking for a sip of anything you are drinking. He says "want sippp" it's so darn cute you pretty much just have to give him a sip :)

His other most used words are- touch it, bubble, baby, truck, tractor, car, shark, ready, cookie, bird, up, shapes, jump, horse, cow, shoe and he loves to say all his animal sounds! He even knows what the bear and tiger say...hows that for a farm boy!?!?  :)

He is still taking one nap a day usually from 1 to 4, sometimes longer and sometimes shorter, and goes to bed around 7ish and sleeps until 8ish in the morning.

He did soo good on our road trip home from Mississippi with the exception of a few meltdowns in Ruby Tuesdays and Carlos O' Kellys and probably some others that I can't remember ..but when you consider all we were doing, I think he deserved a few dramatic moments :)  He was a trooper in his carseat, and that's what matters the most, on the whole trip he only go upset once...we had been on the road all day and he was hungry, but luckily we were just minutes from the hotel, so we didn't have to endure too much screaming!

Love you little stinker!! :)
