Aiden 3 months! - Hull, IA Photography
He has grown so much and so has his hair!! Remember his 3 week pictures?

We used a quilt, that his Mom won in a raffle, for the background in some of these shots. It was actually made by Loreen, who is Dana and Kyle's Aunt (I shot their fabulous engagement pics earlier this month). She makes a quilt every year as a fund raiser for cancer research, since her son passed away from it. It's special to Aiden's family since his Dad was best friends with Loreen's son. It was such a nice memory for his portraits. Enjoy the cuteness!!

Dixie the Pig!
Monday, June 28, 2010
One day last week the Farmer texted me a picture of this cute little piggie...I promptly texted him this back "bring it to me! I want it now!" Well, he didn't bring it to me, but he did bring me to it!! She is the little runt in the hog barn at the farm, so he scooped her up brought her out and let me play with her! I had a mini photo session with the little cutie and she LOVED it!! Well until she decided to run away and the Farmer had to catch her. I just adore pigs as you will recall from this post http://thefarmerandthesouthernbelle.blogspot.com/2009/06/this-little-piggy-went-to.html
I just wish they smelled a little better :)

My MOH Gift!!!
Friday, June 25, 2010
I have been meaning to share this amazing present with yall since I got back from Arkansas...but life has been a bit hectic!!
This is what Lacie got me as my Maid of honor gift!!! The pictures don't do it justice!! We are both Fiesta lovers, and she had received the exact same platter as a wedding gift. She thought we both needed it, so she got me one too! Now when we are all grown up and have big families and host our own Thanksgivings, we can both bring out our gorgeous marigold Fiesta platters and think of each other!! Love, love, love! And don't worry, I'm sure I will be using it for other things besides Turkey!!
p.s.
Marigold is the 75th anniversary color, so this platter is only available for a short time..oh and it's HUGE!!!

Best Cake Ever!

Otherwise known as Texas Sheet Cake, or Chocolate Sheet Cake!! This is soo yummy...you just have to try it!!! My Momma has this recipe too, but I just used the one out of my Pioneer Woman Cookbook, so that way I wouldn't have to take a million pics and re-write the whole recipe...just check out this link!

I know...I'm lazy, but I'm ok with it :)
This cake always reminds me of my nephew, Cade...it's his fave!! It also reminds me of my Ma (my Momma's Momma). She always made this cake...one particular time, that I will never forget, happened to be when I was visiting her (she lived in Louisiana) and my cousin Katie (who also lives in Louisiana) was over at her house too. Ma had just finished the cake and it was cooling on the counter, Katie and I decided it was kind of boring with no flowers or decoration on it, so we pulled chairs up to the counter and proceeded to write our names in the cake using our fingers!! When Ma saw what we had done she just laughed and still served it!! After all, we were her little angels that could do no wrong!! :)
Here are the pics of my finished product!! Its smells soo good and of course the Farmer loves it!!

Knee High By The 4th of July!!!!
The Farmer kept telling me that the "baby" would be doing good if it was knee high by the 4th of July. Last night we decided to go check on the progress, and as my treat for "farming," we got ice cream from the Drive In! Have I ever told yall how much I love ice cream?!!? Anyway....I was so surprised to see that the baby was actually higher than knee high!! And it all just started with a little seed!
