Our Thanksgiving!!

I have been cooking all day and now I almost too stuffed to write this blog!! We just love Thanksgiving food..I really should cook it more often! I have been cooking us a big Thanksgiving spread for three years now and it's one of my favorite traditions! I was going to wait until next week, but I'm itching to get my tree and Christmas decor up, so now that we have eaten our turkey, it is time!! hehe :)  My house will be decked out by this time tomorrow! Can't wait!!

Merritt thought these dried beef jars were the BEST!! haha!

Pumpkin Roll and Cheese Ball to snack on all day!!

I adore this candle! Smells so good!! Thanks Mommy ;)

how cute is Merritt's place setting!! I got it for his first Thanksgiving at the Target Dollar Spot..love those bins!! :)

Crock Pot Turkey Breast...super simple, yet SUPER good!!

I was so excited to get to have Thanksgiving on my new big table this year!!  I also love that you can see The Farmer's oven mitt hands in this pic...he was chasing Merritt around calling himself the Oven Mitt Man!! haha!!

Zip the Dog!!

We have been without a dog for awhile, and are soo excited to have Zip join our little fam! Yes, another boy!! Ha! He is a border collie, born in February, and is bred to be a cow dog. He is super smart and knows all his commands, but most importantly he's gorgeous and a big sweetie!! ;) Merritt loves him and hasn't stopped asking about him! We went out to eat with The Farmer's family tonight to celebrate a successful harvest and as soon as we got home Merritt just had to hug Zip again, and I just had to get some pics!!

Since we were running late and I didn't have time for the usual five minute-plus fiasco that goes down when I try to get a pic of them together, I didn't think I was going to get a shot of these adorable shirts, but The Farmer picked them both up to take them to the car and my camera was sitting on the counter, so I grabbed it and yelled SMILE!! Perfect pic!!

when we got home...McCoy wasn't sure what to think!

a little lick!!

Turkey Day Tee Pees!!

These are a bit intense to make, but very fun, and surprisingly yummy!! Here is the tutorial I followed!!

What's the big deal?!!?

he put the cone straight in the cupcake mix, and declared it a castle!! Never a dull moment folks!!

Then proceeded to eat it!
He got a hair cut yesterday..it never fails I get upset every time! I hate it when he looks like such a big kid! I miss those little curls that we cut off almost two years ago!! :(

hot mess, but I rescued them, not to worry!!

dipping in the sprinkles!

Now I'm a history nut, so I am aware that the Wampanoag Indians, from the first Thanksgiving, actually lived in wigwams not tee pees, but this is fun and Merritt is still running around talking about how he made Indian houses..so I'm ok with not being historically accurate, but it's a decision you have to make for yourself!! ha!

I thought her post below was hilarious!! Happy Friday :)
