Cinco De Mayo!

No, we didn't do anything to celebrate, except having tacos for supper, but we had a fun day nevertheless!!

I have been going back and forth on what double stroller to get since I got pregnant! For awhile I thought maybe we wouldn't even need a double, but after multiple times of ending up carrying a tired little boy, I realized he still needs a seat when we are out and about! I finally decided (after reading a million reviews and realizing the amazing BOB jogger price tag was just not in the cards!) on the Schwinn Turismo and I LOVE it (so far!)!! I had originally decided on the non-jogging Graco Ready2Grow stroller, it is super nice and has lots of options for two kids, but in reality the bulk of time I used Merritt's single stroller was going on walks around town (paved roads), he loved and still loves stroller rides, so I knew the double stroller I chose would mostly get used for going on walks. Now that we live on the farm and have tons of gravel roads to walk on, the all terrain jogger stroller just made more sense!! Well, it came in today, Happy Mother's Day to me, so of course we had to take it for a spin!!! It's kind of a beast but handled fabulously on the gravel, grass, and dirt! Merritt did not want to get out when Mommy was too tired to go any further, so I would say it is a success! Can't wait to push my two boys around in their new ride! :)

lets go Mommy!!!

Good thing Daddy was filling up the planter, so helping him eased the pain of having to get out of the new stroller!!

Derby Day!

With the Farmer out planting, I didn't do anything very special this year for the Derby, but I just couldn't resist making Kentucky Derby pie!! I went ahead and made two, since I just had to throw away the other frozen pie crust from the double pack I got last year for this recipe!! Guess I need to make more pies :)

so very yummy!!

Mmmmm!!

when Merritt (and Mommy!) woke up from his nap we started watching the coverage and coloring Derby pictures!!

very fun!

Mommy's and Merritt's silks!

He loved watching the races and kept yelling RUN horsey RUNNN!!! We kept it super classy and had frozen pizza for supper and are now watching Ratatouille on ABC family. We'll see what Merritt thinks of the pie pretty soon :) Hope you all had a fun Derby Day!! :)

p.s.
No baby yet (obviously!), I go back to doc on Monday stay tuned!!

This and That!

It's been a while since I shared phone pics! So here goes :)

This is from back in February! Merritt's first trip to the dentist!

He did great with the dentist, but didn't want anything to do with the assistant!

all done!

hiiii!

coloring Sheriff Callie pictures!

movie night! We finally got Frozen two days ago and have watched it at least 10 times! He loves it!

Sweet baby! He sleeps so GREAT in his big boy bed!

The Farmer has started planting, so things are a little different around here! Usually he puts Merritt down for naps and bedtime, and gives him his bath, well, now that he is gone, those are Mommies duties...bathtime has been fairly successful with the help of bubbles and all his sea animals!! We had kept them in his playroom, so he thinks it's super fun to play with them in the tub! Nap has not gone very well, but I'm proud to say I just put him down for the night and it only took me three books, two sets of prayers, one song and he was out! SCORE!!

Seaworld in the tub!

He rode in the tractor for awhile tonight with the Farmer "helping" plant, I knew it was going to be a disaster when he had to come back inside....but thanks to a sucker and all these bubbles, crisis was averted!!

Nothing too fun going on around here lately, I am just getting SOOO excited for this babe to be born! One of my besties/roommate from college just had her baby yesterday (a precious baby girl! Can't wait to meet her when I go home this fall!) and she was due 10 days before me, so I told the Farmer that we only had to wait 10 more days!! haha!! Ohh if only it worked that way! But I guess you never know :)

In the Dark!!

I was really looking forward to doing this glow in the dark egg hunt and last night the weather was perfect! After church, we had a big Easter dinner with The Farmer's Daddy's side of the family, then decided to be super lazy until around 7:00 pm, it still wasn't quite dark enough, so we played outside and took a quick "Bota" ride until about 8:30, which was way past his bedtime...but bedtimes are so overrated!! hehe! I knew he would like the glow eggs but he totally thought it was THE BEST!! After he found all the eggs, he popped them open and loved playing with the glow sticks in the dark...better pick up a few more of them (you can get packs of them at the dollar tree) for some fun summer nights! Who knew they would be such a hit!?! I had to use my point and shoot camera since my good one was dead, so I couldn't really capture the "glowing," but you get the idea! There is also a video on youtube  https://www.youtube.com/user/beefhayleymoss  :)

Such a great Easter Sunday. He is Risen! The Farmer has been reading the Easter Story to Merritt at bedtime, during the sermon one of the slides must have looked like the book because he pointed and said "Jesus, Jesus!" I asked him again later who it was, when another slide came up, and he said "TeeBee" (which of course means T.V...the slides look like a huge T.V.) I guess that slide must not have looked like the book! ha! But at least he recognized him once :)

Kinda sad Easter is over, but I'm just so glad I got to do all the fun things with him that I had planned!! I really wanted his last Easter as an only child to be fun...success! Now to put away all the eggs and bunnies and start the countdown for McCoy to arrive!! :)
