Snow Day!

Yes, you read that correctly...snow day...in April...we thank God for the moisture, but snow is not ideal when your babe ADORES being outside!!

I felt so sorry for him today, he just keeps staring out the window...yesterday there were a ton of birds outside, so we watched them most of the day (and fed them croutons!), but today there are no birds to be found and he just keeps knocking on the window for them to come
:(

So I decided to make him some fun things I had seen on Pinterest, while he was napping!

I got his little lap table out, that I have had for ages just waiting to be decorated (who has the time!?!) and taped a ziplock bag filled with paint on the top! He liked this for awhile but not as much as I thought he would! I also made a monster slime sun catcher for the window so he would have something to look at/play with! This is just hair gel mixed with food coloring and of course you have to add googly eyes!! He thought this was super funny but didn't really want to touch it!! ha! Now the rice "table" was the best..in fact he is still playing with it!! It is all over my carpet but he isn't standing by the window knocking for the bids, so I call that a win!! hehe :)

I think we will use beans next time!! :)

Lately!

We haven't been up to much lately, so there hasn't been much to blog about! I thought I would do a 15 month post to catch you up on Merritt!! He is growing like a weed and learning new things everyday! This morning I took out his Ikea Farm, which we hadn't brought out in awhile, and he was having the best time making the animals eat out of the troughs and driving the tractor and truck around, it was so cute!

He loves all things farm/ranch and adores when you make all the animal sounds for him! His absolute favorite TV show is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! I have a few books with Mickey and he loves those too...and we have Mickey jammies that are his fave! Do you think he is ready for a Disney trip?!?! hehe!!

He is wearing 18 month clothes in about every brand, and is well on his way to 24 months! Still in size 4 diapers. Not sure his exact weight, but I would say somewhere around 26 pounds.

He eats just about everything but his favorites are bananas, cheese, hotdogs, peaches, and grapes! I was having some Funyuns (guilty pleasure!) the other day and of course he thought he had to have one too, so I let him have a try, thinking he would spit it out...not my baby! He ate half the bag! Oh my!

He is down to one nap a day usually from 1 to 4, sometimes longer and sometimes shorter, you never know with our little monkey! He goes to bed around 7ish and sleeps until 8ish in the morning.

He doesn't say a ton, but he knows what lots of things are and takes very good direction when you tell him to do something. His favorite thing to say is "Whassssthat" while pointing to random things, after you tell him he says "Ohhhhhhh"  :)

I can't think of much more at the moment and it's time for lunch, sooo hope you have a great day! :)

Wild Man!

Did yall ever watch The Little Rascals growing up? Like the old original Our Gang episodes?? We had a lot of them on video and LOVED to watch them as kids! Ever since Merritt started laughing I have had one of those episodes in my mind! The Wild Man from Borneo! He sounds and looks so much like Spanky!! I was going to watch it while I was home, but never had enough time, so I did a quick search online and found it!! The whole thing is hilarious, but if you want to hear the laughing, fast forward about twelve minutes!!
