On Friday, we headed out to explore the Natchez Trace!
Our first stop was The Old Country Store in Lorman, MS
It is world famous and did not disappoint!
Dessert was Pecan Cobbler! Amazing!!
The owner came over and sang for us!
McCoy told him we came all the way from Iowa, he thought that was great!! hehe!
So yummy and so fun!!
Next we headed to Mount Locust on the Natchez Trace, to get Junior Ranger badges!

Next up, we checked out Emerald Mound!
It was a steep walk but very cool!
So beautiful!
What a great day! We drove the Trace from Utica to Natchez, about 75 miles, and it was soo gorgeous! We might go back later this week to check out some more of it! Love it!!
